A story about four people

There is a story about four people named Somebody, Everybody, Anybody and Nobody.
There was one important job to be done.
Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry because it was Everybodys Job.
Everybody thought Anybody could do it.
Nobody realised that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Just read an interesting article about customer service.  Even if a company is small - if it offers a great customer experience - it can make more headway than a larger company that respond more slowly.

Use technology to connect with your customers faster than the competition.
So speed and nimbleness is the key.

Using social media or with easier way to connect via a website form, you can address customers' requests as they arise while putting a human face on your brand.

This is what Target Realty Corp is all about.  We are the Calgary's longest-serving independant commercial real estate - We're not aiming to become the biggest - but we aim at providing our clientele the best personalized real estate service possible.  Contact us today info@target-realty.com

Grow your business copy

The Top 10 Questions to Ask if you Plan to Grow your Business in 2014

  1. What is your business going to look like three years from now?
  2. What products or services should you focus on selling/offering?
  3. Who will your customers be?
  4. How will you successfully market yourself?
  5. What are the unique attributes of your business? (How do you differentiate yourself?)
  6. Where will you be located? (How many locations will you have?)
  7. What will your profits be?
  8. Will you expand nationally or internationally?
  9. Will you grow your team?
  10. Will you franchise, go public or sell?
The answers to these key questions depend on three critical factors:
  •  How fast is your company growing?
  •  How quickly is your industry evolving? What is the state of your industry?
  •  What is the current strategy of your competition
Keep in mind that a big part of your success in this process will be tied to your ability to clearly take stock
of where your business is currently at:
  • How well can you identify your strengths and weaknesses and the current ‘shape’ you’re in?
  •  How do you compare to your competition?
  •  What are your gross revenues? Profit margins?
  •  Do you have a useful set of key performance indicators?
  •  What is your market share?
  •  How can you improve your internal systems?
  •  Does your team understand and represent your brand?

In this article Winning Strategies for Every Other Social Media Platform it is mentioned that a short video may leave a potential buyer (or anyone interested in the space) wanting more info.

Spam Regulations

Most small business owners aren’t ready for the new anti-spam law coming into effect this July, believes the Canadian Federation of Independent Business.

The Canadian Anti-Spam Law, or CASL, will restrict how businesses communicate electronically with clients and prospects.

"I think this is going to be a pretty heavy-handed legislation and it's going to take a lot of time before many small businesses are even aware that they have some obligations under this legislation and the regulations that go along with it," CFIB vice-president Corinne Pohlmann said in an interview with The Canadian Press.

It will affect any marketing plans that use emails as a way to communicate with potential clients. At least the new regulation gives us 3 years to implement these new rules. From what we understand it will not stop spam coming in from our outside the country - we can expect to still be inundated with it.
